Sunday October 29th-06

Tonight our supper was breakfast for supper again. I love the midwest as we can always come up with something for supper that is hearty and taste good. Anyway we were supposed to have steaks but Frank was doing a lot of outdoor work today since it was in the 70's sunny and beautiful.
Then Frank Jr. called and before Frank knew it the day was done. So Omelettes, bacon and french toast won this round of comfort food weekends.
I have not been sleeping well for a week now and tonight I am going to take a book with me to the tub have a long bubble bath and hope I am relaxed enough to sleep sleep sleep..............or at least snore louder than Frank does which is saying something.
All in all though it's been a great weekend and very productive. Except I didn't get my bio accomplished yet but one good night's rest and I should be able to come up with the bio.
I don't know what it is about Halloween but I want to snack I guess because when I was a child it was all about the candy. So I bought some little candy bars this weekend and have snacked around on those, I find Twix very comforting and mounds are fun too!!!
Next week I think I'll make a Milk Dud run for trick or treaters at least that is what I'm telling myself tonight. LOLOL............
Okay I haven't accomplished much reading this weekend so I am off to have that bath and read!
I did watch HOME ALONE tonight which was fun especially after watching Stephen King's Rose Red all day.........LOLOLOL
Now back to The BODY IN THE ATTIC ending and I will be happy to write this review at some point because Katherine Hall Page keeps getting better and better with each book.
Hugs,
Pamela

Tired.........

Hello,
I am so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open. It has been three nights since I slept anything close to normal sleeping hours. I could easily go to bed now and sleep but then I would be up at 5:00 in the morning and that hour of the day I try to never see.
So I think I will watch some spooky movie and drift off in he easy chair where it doesn't count.
I don't dare stitch I might make a mistake but I can read while vampires and werewolves play in the background.
So I will write tomorrow and let you know if I finally got to sleep...............

LATE THURSDAY NIGHT

Hello Readers,
This week has not been the best week for a lot of reasons. Let's just say one day I am hot and the next I am freezing. Friday will be a hot day............
Thursday (today) was a freezing day..........
Today was a day that I knew right from the start wasn't going to be my day, however with a nice bowl of stew and a vanilla shake it ended on a better note than the day began.
I have no special weekend plans except I want to watch Halloween Movies, stitch while I watch them, and Frank has declared our weekend menu upon which I can live with and it goes something like this:
Friday Night: Cheeseburgers and fries
Saturday Night:Enchiladas these will be chicken in green chili sauce and nachos. YUM
Sunday: Baked Pork Chops in mushroom gravy and baked potatoes with toppings...and maybe either brownies or lemon bars.YUM.
Monday: Is frozen Pizzas as it's wrestling night and my CSI Miami Night.
When you're our age you look forward to the menu because you're like little kids getting away with something with the kids all grown and having to worry about wholesome meals for their families. Which brings me to we are having one night next week sweet and sour chicken (this is my absolute fav during the week meal) and also one night we'll have spagahetti.
I love this time of year but the dreary days since last week are getting to me a little now...plus the holidays are around the corner and I haven't even began to do nearly the Christmas Shopping that I thought I would have done by now.
Okay I have been writing on my book but I can't seem to stay up as late as I have been so I am not getting as many page counts in right now. I think I will try to work on a solution to my writing schedule. I hate to write afternoons because I have a friend or two who IM me and weekend IM's are for friends too so I hate to neglect my friends to write but at the same time evening are really not an option half of the time because of Frank and I needing to spend time together not all night but I can only count on him being busy Monday nights.
He is outside a lot on weekends.........
Now I spend a lot of time on weekends doing housework and stitching so I am thinking very hard on what to do here.
Mornings are OUT....usually because I am not up to it mentally. LOLOLOL

I received my book contract!

Dear Readers and Writers,
I recieved mny book contract in the mail from Publish Ameica on October 14th-06. I read all of the eight pages, and today Sunday October 15th I signed the contract.
Okay for those of you not up to speed yet, I was going to go with PageFree but the money wasn't there to go with them.
I then decided on Publish America they do not ask for money and are not POD they accepted my book and even though Publish America has 365 day upon which to publish my book I feel good about this because I feel this is the right move for me.
I have to have the edits done and to PA by Dec 1st that is stipulated in the contract. While I will not grow rich off of THE CROSSED STITCHER it did bring me out of my writer's slug and more news.......
The book that was going to be my second book (STITCHES-N-STONES) will now be my third book and I have started writing the second book in the series. This works better because The CROSSED STITCHER was set in the fall season. (STITCHES-N-STONES) is set in spring which means that skipped winter-Christmas that didn't feel right to me so I am now writing on The TROUBLE WITH STITCHERS....
I will keep everyone alerted to when my book will hit the shelves and oh YES it will be on book shelves! That is possibly the best news of all!
Now I can start my PR and I think I am finally jazzed to do some PR, you see I am mostly an introvert so it takes some doing to get me to PR and finally I feel good about starting to do some of it.
Yesterday was 75 and sunny a beautiful fall day so yesterday was the most perfect autumn day. Today is dreay, rainy and cold but I still love it because it's all my favorite season, and I am having the best fall ever. Which is good because I had a pretty crappy summer.
Frank also surprised me yesterday and started cleaning out the garage and I didn't think I would live long enough to see this happen. He has his stuff, our children and their children's stuff in there piles as high as things can go needless to say I am quite speechless.
Supper--We are baking a ham for supper tonight and I can't wait for it as I missed lunch.
Life is good right now as all of us are well and extended family is well. I had a cold last week but I am doing better this weekend with that, I have good books to read, great friends who I THINK OF AS FAMILY, my little corner of the world is great.
On the cross stitch front I am stitching "Dear Santa, We've Got Cookies" by Lizzie Kate. I am about halfway through stitching it then I will do a fall piece (small) even if fall will be over by the time it's completed.
Mishell's Sampler will not be done for Christmas and I will instead give it to her as a birthday present the end of March. She'll understand the small project as I go through writing another book, PR on the first book and it will probably be out sooner than I think.
I imagine Melissa and Chase will be here next weekend so I will probably see them soon. Jay called last night and wants us to come up there and we will but Frank has some project to finish for Melissa first. Amy called earlier in the week and she is having to work Sundays right now so is pretty tired. Mishell's kids are in sports so it's a busy time of year for them. Frank Jr. is working twelve hour nights at the Casinos in Oklahoma and he's security so has to be there.
Amanda had her grandparents in from Lake Charles, La and so she is busy with company.
Okay I should close................
