Sunday Sept 3rd
Hello Readers,
It's been a long long two weeks. The highlights were fleas, bathroom plumbing problems, dryer problems, and central air going out..
Now all of those problems are fixed one way or another. I had company since Friday a two year old grandaughter, a four year old grandaughter who has Cebral Palsy and a five year old grandson, plus a 22 year old daughter and my husband and I had an anniversary, not to mention we went to the thirty something daughter's house for supper and to cbrate our grandaughter's 12th birthday last night. They made it Italian night so we had manacotti, lasagna, parmensan chicken, she also made corn on the cob, baked potatoes, garlic bread, cheese sticks, and for dessert we had our choice of either homemade cinnamon rolls or two different types of birthday cake and/or chocolate ice cream. My grandaughter received a telescope for birthday and new tv/vcr for her room.
A good time was had by all but it certainly was tiring then we returned home about nine that night got the kids settled in bed had to made an ensure run for the one grandaughter then Melissa and I visited until one in the morning. She went to bed I stayed up just to unwind until 2:30.
Today I was up at ten, they were supposed to leave at 9:00 this morning but didn't leave and when I woke my son-inlaw was here too, he'd come down to help his aunt move.
But Melissa didn't stick around long at all after her daddy put the new tires on her car she packed up and left to take her nieces home and then she wanted to do her homework and housework so she could have tomorrow to play and maybe her and Travis could do something.
Now for me it's recleaning the house and back to work on my book. Melissa told me while she was here that when I came up the end of the month we would send my book in then so another ten days later than expected. I was disappointed but since she is doing the editing I just zipped my lip.
So she will not be back this month instead she is waiting for me to come the 22nd.
I hope everyone is having a good Labor Day Weekend.
I will also be stitching and reading as I also need to start getting back into my routine.
