Men!!!

Dear Readers, I doubt a lot gets accomplished by me today as I feel like a slug....this means that I am free to read BLUE BLOOD and probably finish it today.LOLOL.
My daughter Amy called last night and she bought a car yesterday and had ordered my birthday cake.LOL.
I got a birthday box from my friend Kathleen yesterday and that was certainly a day brightener.
Frank and I went to Wal-Mart and bought a family Tent to put up for the barbeque tomorrow and he will be doing the actual shopping for it by himself tonight as I am NOT leaving the house today.
Okay I wanted Frank to make is cheeseball for my birthday, he makes a really good one and everyone loves it he told me no so I sat on his lap last night wanting to sweet-talk him into it. Oh geez you would have thought I broke his legs, back and arms, so okay that wasn't the best approach but it worked ten years ago who was I to know he was gonna whine. Sure I've gain eighty pounds since then but is that ANY REASON to whine...geez...so I said something like...."I suppose carrying me to bed is out of the question?" He answers very seriously..."Pamela just because you're a mystery author doesn't mean you have to kill me just divorce me" LOLOLOLOLOL
With a statement like that one night he's gonna get a can of corn upside his head. HeeHee
But the problem is he cooks soooooo much better than I do before I met him it wa t.v. dinners and not the good kinds like they have today....I lived off tomato soup and t.v. dinners but at least no one had a problem carrying me.....Hmmmmmmmmm.....

Hot afternoon

Hi Readers, well today I will spend writing and doing laundry. Mishell called and grandson has a ballgame tonight. I won't go not in this heat but Frank might go and if he does then I'll have a free night and can stitch. AWFUL aren't I???
I feel I need to down time before kids arrive this weekend and Amy may end up here tonight so we do need to have someone home in case she comes knocking.LOLOL
Hey that's my story and I'm sticking to it. How is everyone's day going?

It's Thursday

Hello Readers,
Melissa checked in Wednesday late afternoon while I was trying to send an email to a friend and anyway we finally did have a chat. It was rather enlightening but can't call it a comfortable chat. I think she is at a lot of cross roads in her life and none will be easy choices. As I suspected she is also getting burned out at least temporarily anyway as a mother I am worried but I also see where she has the strength to handle it if she will take everything in consideration and realize that Rome wasn't built in day.
Today I thought she should be a little more like an author and let things gestate and kinda just trust her instincts on some things.
She most definitely needs to relax and not get lazy sometimes it can be a fine line you don't realize you've crossed until you've crossed it.
I never quite know if she has too much time, not even time or if she just jumps right in with both feet and lips. Anyway she will work it out but i can't help but worry a little.
Now on to the rest of the night, I watched a movie, and read some more of BLUE BLOOD then I cleaned and Glenda dropped by with an early bithday present.
It was good to see Glenda as sometimes I do forget we live in the same town.LOLOLOL.........
Then I had supper which was grilled ham & cheese sandwiches.
They didn't set too well but I think it's just a little stomach thing nothing to worry about, however I am still dealing with this cough and a few dizzy spells which could be me not drinking enough fluids in this heat.
Right now I have some 7up I am drinking. Probably should have had water or gatorade but 7up just sounded good.
Frank Jr. called later tonight and he will most definitely be here this weekend then his shift next week will be 4-12 at the casino in Oklahoma.
Melissa changed her plans to come home on Friday to Saturday then she will leave some time on Sunday.
Okay I need to work on my chapter and I did write the story idea for a new story last night. I have it in a file and will flesh it out over the next few weeks. It will be for a different series.

Sunny today

Last night they were predicting rain for today but instead we have sunshine which is good because I do better with sunshine.
Today could have started out better but maybe the day will once again become better as we go along.
I slept in today and have made monumental snafus since I woke this morning. Can't get foot out of mouth, can't get motivated, can't seem to not make a mess you name it and I've done it before noon today and not in a good way like the Marine's Slogan.
LOLOL...........however the one bright spot is that I am really enjoying BLUE BLOOD by Susan McBride.
And my daughter sent cute pictures of her my grandchildren. Karley was supposed to clean her room and she fell asleep on the pile toys she looks so cute and Bailey had her teddy bear etc....so they are cute pictures.
Anyway off to have a second cup of coffee this afternoon as I need it.

Blah Blah Blah

Hi everyone, well yesterday the mail came and it was worth the fact the mail lady was late as Susan McBride sent me two of her mysteries to review. OH GOSH....I had just finished Nancy Cohen's PERMED TO DEATH so it was great timing as I immediately started BLUE BLOOD..I am enjoying it immensely.
Today hasn't been so good for me as I am fightng off a migraine but hope that by tonight it will at least be better.
My daughter Amy will be here this evening (if not sooner) so I hope I can feel better by the time she arrives.
She is dropping her car off for dad to keep here and fix and he'll take her back home although she may stay for supper.

Sooner or later Monday

Dear Readers, Okay it's close enough to Monday to talk about Monday Movies. LOLOL. I watched HALF LIGHT tonight with Demi Moore, okay now I HAVE TO OWN THIS MOVIE....this movie was awesome to me for the location alone....(Yes I know I need to get out more) but wow a lighthouse mystery was just one element, anyway it certainly set my imagination to clicking away. Espeically since she played an author in the movie.
Other than the movie, Frank installed a Ceiling Fan in the dining room this evening, now we have better lighting in there. This is a very good thing.
We had polish sausage, potatoes, cole slaw, and rolls for supper. I have ended up still feeling bad but also kinda was on a cleaning jag especially with the laundry so it's almost caught up.
Still coughing and tonight I'm feverish and definitely wearing out. So I am going to read for a while.
Melissa finally phoned home this evening and his side of the family was visiting this week then she drove his little sister back to Nebraska this weekend. Plus she is doing enrollent for the Fall Semester this coming week.
Amanda and Melissa went out today before she called me and Amanda doesn't know if she is coming for my birthday or not well this wasn't totally unexpected. Amanda loves to keep people in suspense....
So I emailed Amanda and told her to let me know for sure one way or the other by Friday.

June 25th

Hello Readers,
It's partly cloudy here this morning with a chance of rain. I woke with respirtory problems and I certainly hope I am not getting a RS Infection that would not be good at all.
But it feels like and I am coughing things up and just feeling horrible. However at this point even with losing my voice I am still hoping for just a bad sinus infection.LOLOLOL....
The high here will be 87 today. I stitching a lot last night and I enjoyed it so I think I will be doing more stitching and movie watching today.
I just hope today gets a lot better.

Saturday June 24

Dear Readers,
It's a sunny Saturday in Parsons, Frank is working on a friend's door. I am checking email and on my first cup of coffee. I am not feeling all that energetic today and am hoping that changes.
Today I am going to watch movies and cross stitch. I could write but I have decided to take Friday and Saturdays for family, stitching and reading. Once I start school it may be my only down time between writing mysteries and going to writing school.
If all works like I want it to I will do my homework in the afternoons, stitching in the evenings and write at night. I'll sleep during the day time and clean house Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. That leaves a little time on Tuesday for errands. Frank can do the grocery shopping or I can go with him on Wednesday or Tuesday evenings.
That leaves me Friday & Saturday for family visits, stitching and reading. By Sunday night it's back to work and Sunday day is whatever if family is still here and if not then naps, relaxing or stitching.LOLOLOL of course laundry is all the time.
If I decide to start quilting I'll probably do it mostly on a Saturday.
I haven't received my Susan McBride Mysteries yet but I am watching for them.
What is everyone else doing on this fine Saturday?
I have got to decide what I am stitching on today? Think it might be time to stitch on either an Alma Lynne or look through things and see if I have any small projects or medium projects to stitch on? I am in the mood to stitch Halloween but have no Halloween Project that works for me.
I know I will read today as I have a group read to finish up in the next few days.
My friend Skye is off to her cabin in the woods an I have to say for getting projects and writing done it sounds perfect to have a cabin to retreat to on the weekends. I could get so much more done. My big problem is that when I take a break I find I need to do dishes or sweep or something and I never get right back to my stitching.

Close to being Thursday

Dear Readers, well I am now not only writing the second book in my cross stitch mystery series but I am going to school as well. Got enrolled today for an online school. I am thrilled but it will be a lot of work.
I read a while tonight and I did stitch for a little while but now have to get busy with my writing tonight.
We took french bread and made french toast for supper tonight then had ham and cheese omelettes as well.
I have laundry going since it's too hot to run the dryer in the afternoons right now. I have been doing most of it at night.
Okay off the write for a while tonight.
Hugs, Pamela

Midweek

Good Morning,
It's sunny and it's hot today, I sttiched and stitched last night now I need to spend today doing some writing and reading.
My daughter Amanda checked in and she will be here with my grandson and Karley next weekend but is having to leave Bailey with a sitter as she has some health issues again that makes it impossible for her to come this far.
Mu daughter Melissa will be here with Chase as well.My daughter Amy will be here on Saturday with Bradley and Shaun, my daughter Mishell will be here with Shawn, Cassie, Hailey and my son Jay's two children Laci and Kyle will be here, as will Fank Jr and Heather with my grandson's Ty and Caleb, so a big barbeque will be happening but yet again. I really did not want another barbeque this soon but no one asked mom what she wanted for her birthday. Amanda's husband has to work and his trip he was to take to California is postponed until July 7th as the company is doing another big meeting etc...this week.
I am not doing good colon wise today I think a lot of it is allergy related and also I am tired which is never a good thing with me and my aches and pains.
We are supposed to start cooling off soon as it seems we are going to receive rain again this weekend.
Hugs, Pamela

Tuesday

Dear Readers, it's Tuesday and I am having sinus issues. UGH!!!! But maybe I'll cut my errands short today and come home and read. We will have open faced sandwiches for supper tonight.
I am not using the dryer or the stove until I have to today.
My writing was another five pages and so that much is done for the day.
To me this will definitely be a lazy summer day.
I may nap if this sinus problem doesn't clear up.
Hugs, Pamela

Tuesday-Terri's Birthday

Happy Birthday Terri, I know you'll do something fun and adventuerous.
I finished writing five pages and decided that was enough for tonight. It's a little after two in the morning.
Today I will have errands in the afternoon. I also plan to stitch and I am sure one of my daughters will be phoning this afternoon.
I have some sinus issues tonight so I will be doing bubbles and read then off to bed and hoepfully when I wake it will be sunny and today will go smoothly.
Hugs, Pamela

Monday June 19th-06

Hi Readers, Sunday was a nice day...after the family returned and we had an early supper, Melissa and Chase left for the other grandparents house. So as for me not to sit and be depressed after a really fun weekend we decided to go to Wal-Mart where Frank could get some things he wanted. When we arrived I found a couple of summer tops for 5.00 each so I bought them and he didn't find the tool they were supposed to have. He mentioned that he should have looked in Independence when he was there earlier so we drove thirty minutes to Independence I found a Fall Sweater on sale, he found nothing, so then we were only twenty-five minutes from Coffeyville so we drove there, I found another top on sale he found nothing, but then we were only forty-five minutes from Chanute so we drove to that Wal-Mart BINGO he found his tool and I found a sweater, top and unmentionables. All on sale then we went to eat again calling it a snack and by the time we arrived home it was almost eleven but we had a good time and I was ready for the midnight showing of PBS Mystery with Jane Marple BY THE PRICKERING OF MY THUMB he snored and I watched the mystery.
Then I returned my daughter's call she had phoned home a lot while we were gone (we didn't tell her we were leaving town), she doesn't have to work today so she was up doing her laundry.
Her husband took his dad fishing out on his boat for Father's Day and they started fishing at six Sunday Morning they did not arrive home until five in the evening. Her husband was sunburned to a crisp. He had forgotten the sun screen and since they were catching fish he didn't want to stop long enough to go get it. He is in misery.
Melissa had eaten two chili dogs with all the trimings here then when she arrived at the inlaws they had steak, potatoes and corn on the grill for her. She had to eat again so she wasn't doing so hot either.LOL.
Okay and before you ask I had bought a yellow top, a peach melon colored top, a white sweater that has emboridered flowers on it, a light blue sweater that buttons up the front, red top and a khaki colored top.
I shop for clothes where I feel like so a lot of mine are not name brand and I have vintage clothes, every day clothes and artsy type clothes then of course I have my favorites that are falling to pieces which is what I can be caught in more often than not because I love comfortable clothes. Leggens come to mind with oversized shirts and sweaters when it's fall or winter (they have went out of style but ask me if I care)? However my daughters do so I have the clothes they have helped me pick out and I wear them when they visit.LOLOLOL...........
I love Tee shirts but they have to be V-Necked as I hate to wear the kind that are too close to my neck plus my shoulders are round so I used to love the eighties when the style was those shoulder pads that made everyone else look like a football player NOT ME I actually looked like a normal shouldered person AHHHHHH FOR THE GOOD OLE DAYS....LOLOL however big hair well I could live without that part of it.
But I do not bend to fashion or names on the labels I doubt I'll be walking the red carpet any time soon and doubt I will be winning any cozy awards for the Malice Teapot or any hall of fame therefore I am free to be free to look like DEATH WARMED OVER on any given day. It is afterall not about who I am but who my characters are.
My characters dress the way their personalites dictate that they should within the confines of the story. I on the other hand dress for my mood swings...LOLOL but my coffee cup always has to mange what I wear that day....even if what I wear doesn't match....LOLOL now you know my secret......I love coffee mugs and I love to make them match my clothes and mood. Hmmmmm maybe one of my characters should do this....

Father's Day

Hello everyone.,
Father's Day is going really well. Frank loved his polo shirts and gift cards as he is going to buy a drill with them.
The family went to the zoo out of town this afternoon but I begged off of that as I didn't feel like walking and so I stayed home and went through my non-fiction books for my daughter and also my litrature books as she loves Lit but I didn't have any fantasy books or folklore ones to pass on.
I think since she is a history buff she'll be happy with what goes home to her book shelves.
It's sunny and I like that as it wasn't supposed to be but we did luck out for this holiday. I organized my book shelves today as I went along so a lot of that is done.
My book is now in Melissa's hot little hands for her to go over and then we should have it ready to go to Kim by August 1st.
I made a file for all of my stitching projects which is basically a to-do list but it will help keep me organized and once they are done they will go into the stitching journal for 06-07.
I hope all Father's out there are doing exactly what they want to do today.
My friend Terri returns from Chicago today and I haven't been able to keep up with her adventures so I will be happy when she returns.
My friend Kathleen is probably taking today off and relaxing...
Glenda's company should be leaving.
I will be back to writing tonight.....but soon everyone will return from the zoo and I will get to visit with my daughter some more before they leave.
I will be birthday shopping for a friend this week.
I made out the weekly to-do list so that is done. My daughter is going to be moving if all goes well by August...and then my other daughter Amanda says the move to California is back on at least Melissa just wants to go from apartment to house.
Melissa & I gave the cats a bath this morning now that was exciting but it's done for another two weeks.
Okay I should go do some laundry and put away some clothes.
hugs, Pamela

Friday before Father's Day

Hello Readers,
Children will be calling and stopping in this weekend as it's Father's Day Weekend. I think we are going to have Enchiladas and Cheesecake for Saturday night and Sunday since it's Dad's Day Chili Dogs is on the menu! He loves those.....
Monday I'll be ready for a good pot roast or chicken dinner of some kind.LOLOLOL.
Melissa phoned home again and this time she decided she would be in on Saturday but staying until Sunday night late as she took Monday off work.
My other daughter Amanda checked in and wants to come stay with us from July 1st to July 4th this would be in my small cramped house with Melissa and Chase (part of the time) and Amanda, her two girls bailey and Karley and Frank and I with no bedrooms but ours available.....
Now she is going on about how she really will be moving to California and this will be the last time that we get to see them for a while. I think we shall wait and see Mike hasn't made the trip out there yet. He hasn't met them all etc.....so I am not promising anything until I know as I am not opposed to their coming but I am opposed to losing my sanity.
Having said that we'll see..................
Karley is two and Bailey has Ceberal Palsy and Chase is five and we are talking Amanda twenty-six and Melissa twenty-two.
I think the big problem is I am back on a writing schedule and I hate to break the flow now that I finally have the schedule worked out.
I can see grandpa doing all those honey -do chores I have lined up though so this might end up a GOOD THING.....
LOLOLOL --------
I spent this morning cleaning .......okay back at it!
Hugs, Pamela

Thursday Tell All

It's Thursday and the weather is warm and sunny. I hear that will change by either Saturday or Sunday so I am enjoying it while I can.
Okay today let me ask who some of your favorite fictional characters are?
Here are a few of mine.
Jessica Fletcher although I might not want to be her friend they seem to be murdered or accused of murder a lot.LOL.

Abby Cooper because her character is very likable and because I love the liar liar pants on fire part of her that makes me laugh every time.

Faith Fairchild- I wish I could cook like her and because she is not shaken by murder instead it's usually family and I would love to have a friend like Pix.

Judith Flynn- because a bed-n-breakfast not only would be a great job but because Judith and Renie are only truly afraid of their mothers. LOLOL.

Helen Hawthorne- Now if you're going to be on the run it's prudent to be on the run with a smart cookie like Helen. Not to mention she and I share a lot of dead end jobs. She is so real that it is hard for me to remember she is a character in a book. This is one of the best character developed series I have ever read.

Angie Alfalfi - Because she has spunk and the chemistry between her and Paavo is what keeps the series sizzling.

Okay stay tuned for more of this today as I am not done at all. There is Max and Annie Darling and so many more characters I like......and I bet you like some of your own feel free to tell us which ones.
Now I need more coffee and I do like my own character 'Page Hollow' who makes her debut in THE CROSSED STITCHER this Fall....
Hugs, Pamela

Wednesday Report

Hello everyone,
It back to being a little warm in Kansas but at least it is sunny. I guess that will change this weekend which won't be good since I am having company and could live without the storms.
I wrote last night and I also mopped the kitchen and folded clothes and watched a movie. Ahhhh the glamours life of a mystery author. The most mystery I have in my life is whether my plants will live to see another day. I do not have a green thumb but I don't have a brown or black thumb either...so it's a toss up whether the plants live at my house. I think my thumb it kinda a plum thumb that is if I had to pick a color.
Anyway I have a slight toothache today probably from the sinus infection I have acquired.
What is going on with everyone else today? My cat Dagger is watching me write this and as long as he doesn't jump on the keyboard we are okay.
Is anyone else writing a book this summer? Am I the only person spending the summer writing instead of vacationing?
Hugs, Pamela who needs more coffee....

Tuesday late morning

Good Morning,
It's a sunny Tuesday in Parsons this morning. I have come to the conclusion that my blog is a little boring lately but that is probably because life has slowed down for me. Last night during my writing session I came to the conclusion that I need more plot points.
Then I came to the conclusion that my life needs more plot points. LOLOL. Frank has a more exciting life but I wouldn't want to do what he does because he has a wrecker service and he gets called out at all hours to pick up cars after wrecks, drunk drivers, and of course the break down on people some from our area and others who are passing through. He works for the Sheriff's Department, the Police Department, AAA, and of course his shop. He is also a mechanic and so all of this makes life quite interesting at times.
Especially when let's say a car breaks down in Parsons for a college student but daddy is paying the bills and insists Frank tow the car to Oklahoma City. LOLOL.....well then off he goes doesn't matter what time of day or night.
This I think might be why I write nights more than anything because when your husband is on the road at two in the morning for a long distance drive on a Saturday night you might as well get some work done because you won't be sleeping.
I did try to stay on days lately but the writing is going to suffer. My creative clock is just not a 9-5 woman she wants midnight to four or five,
however my almost 49 year old body wants nothing but sleep at midnight. In this case I think the creative clock might win.
Why am I babbling like a brook on this morning about writing schedules? I have no idea except I think I tried to fix a thing that wasn't broken. You live and you learn.
Anyone doing anything exciting at all today? I don't know how other authors and writers spend their day.......but today I am going to give my cats a bath now that ought to lend excitement to anyone's day.
Hugs, Pamela

Monday June 12th

Hello everyone, it's Monday and back to work time for me. I have some stew meat in the crockpot for Stroganoff it's cooler here today so that sounded like a plan to make with some biscuits. I am in housework mode today and I will be baking some brownies the creamcheese kind.
I also have writing to do later and it wouldn't hurt to read the group read actually I am rereading it and am reminded of how good Nancy Cohen's Characters really are.
Terri I hope you have a safe and fun trip. I think Melissa will be home this weekend but not sure on that it could be the following weekend. Either way things will probably get interesting in the next week....
Okay I should scoot and try to get more work accomplished today.
hugs, Pam

Attention Susan McBride

Dear Susan, I got a chuckle out of your posts and yes we Kansas Gals have to stick together. What I really meant was that I can't get your books in Parsons as we do not have a bookstore here. So I will look when I got to Joplin or Kansas City. Joplin is an hour and fifteen minutes from here and K.C. is two and a half hours.
However if (because I am a mystery reviewer) you have any books that you would like for me to review for you please contact me at pjames25us@yahoo.com and I will be happy to send you my snail mail addy.
Yes I am a huge fan and love your writing style and the relationship between mother, daughter etc....
Hugs, Pamela who now knows that Susan McBride reads her blogs...LOL.

Hello Readers,
Well I spent from 11:30 until 1:00 at the ball field as my grandaughter had a game today. They lost but it was still fun. I am suburned and came home to have lots of water.
I hope all the rest of you are having a great Saturday mine is hot, sunny and now we are going to have scrambled eggs, and sausage for lunch a later lunch than expected.
Then I will probably find something to do like stitch or read.
Hugs, Pamela

Later Friday Morning

Good Morning Readers,
The birds are singing and it's sunny hot all ready and my neighbors are still having their rummage sale. The car doors slamming woke me this morning. I then decided StarBucks was in order when the Decaf wouldn't quite do the trick, so I having an errand anyway I made my way to the store for a bottle of StarBucks Coffee, I came home and started the laundry. So far the rest of the morning has been nice as I have had the time to check emails and I will be answering some in a while as so far I've only answered two of them.
I had the Cosby Mysteries on this morning and boy was that a treat. Now to make beds, pick up the rest of the dirty clothes, vacum, do the small amount of dishes I have to do and sweep the floors. Today I may try organizing the bathroom better, then I will sit watch mysteries and stitch unless inspired to write this afternoon.
Frank will probably spend in the morning going to rummage sales. Next weekend will be hectic if Melissa decides to come as we are going over my book and it's Father's Day Weekend.
Last weekend was great with no interruptions and I had lots and lots of stitching and reading time.
Hugs, Pamela

Made it to Friday

Hello Readers,
It's Friday and I am GLAD, Thursday wasn't bad just hectic in a strange sorta way. I mailed Kathleen her package and then when I got home my neighbors were having a rummage sale and called me over and so I went (mostly to be polite) but anyway as it turned out they had books and these were nice paperbacks albeit mostly romances but they were selling for .25 a piece so I bought ten dollars worth, then Frank shows up over there over lunch and he bought a food dehydrater. So he'll have something to play with over the weekend. Then she called me back over two hours later as she knows I have grandaughters and she had tons of Barbie Doll Clothes and Barbies I ended up helping sort Barbie Clothes into piles and helping with all of that from the floor let's just say I'm a good neighbor.
Anyway then I bought some for the grandaughters, then I went home did the much needed housework and Frank comes home and wants to go back to the rummage sale he found stuff he wanted to get Chase.
I had put chicken in the crockpot so we had barbequed chicken sandwiches for supper. Then Frank went out to mow the lawn and I ended up watching "JEWELS" Danielle Steel Movie (rather it's based on her book) anyway four hours later I was done stitching, missed Instant Messages Galore, but had a nice evening. Then I cleaned up the kitchen, Frank came in earlier and watched the last ninety minutes of it with me then showered and went to bed and I am now on here after checking a couple of messages. I got the Janet Evanovich Newsletter in the mail today so I sat and read it. LOVED IT.....they are soooo interesting as a family and her as an author. Now I will climb in the tub and read more of PERMED TO DEATH....
Oh before that I have a few plot points to write down and I have to make out a writing -to-do-list for the weekend.
I took a short walk this afternoon but I need to take a longer one before my Mystery Friday Starts tomorrow afternoon. I had a snack earlier of peanut butter....it's very hot in Parsons today and will be worse over the weekend which is fine with me...LOLOL
Hugs, Pamela

Morning

Dear Readers,
This morning it's sunny the birds are singing, and I'm up dressed, ready for my day. After being up a while this morning I wondered what my friend Skye was doing with her morning and if she and her husband are having a fun adventure.
My friend Glenda is probably getting breakfast and seeing her husband off to work. Her daycare mother's are probably mostly already dropping thier children off.
My friend Terri is getting ready for next week's adventure which I envy her over.
My friend Kathleen probably has to work today but yesterday was her birthday.
Today I will write a new 'Pam's Pen column', write a review or two, and then read the interview that Mary Emmons has for this month that I wrote. The author of the month for me was "Carolyn Haines" at The Voice In The Dark.
I have a little more housework to do today, and I think it's my turn to cook supper. With it hot outside I am not sure what to have just yet.
I am thinking barbequed chicken and a baked potato or spagahetti and french bread with salad. Possibly barbequed chicken sandwiches.
I had a sausage and biscuit for breakfast with decaf coffee.
Okay I need to find a package or a box to put Kathleen's prezzies in, I got her material lots of material she is in to sewing and she cross stitches so I got her material that she can make tuck pillows from, or quilted wall hangings, or placemats and napkins, she anything she wanted to make, and then I also got her some rubber stamps, a mini cross stitch kit (trust me this woman has more stitching stash than I do) smile, and of course I got her a book.
Now for the next birthday girl in my tight little circle of friends. I won't be able to post what I get that particular girl because she reads my blog almost everyday. But she knows who she is...LOLOLOL.
Okay I guess I need to start doing something around here.
Hugs, Pamela

Wednesday -hump day

Well it's hump day and I woke to a hot house this morning because Frank turned the heat way up, plus I woke grumpy because my husband is not helping out at home and is never home and this morning I took one look at him and it just set me off.LOLOLOL.......
I woke early and the house is a mess so I have a ton of cleaning to do today, mya daughter Amanda left me an email that they are moving. No details of course........ARRGGHHHH.
Today is NOT a good day. And right off the bat my friends decided to IM me which is okay since they didn't know I was having a BAD morning.LOLOL it was one ladies birthday and so I hope she has a better birthday than I did morning so far, the other lady wanted to complain about her job and her back. So let her vent....then decided it was my turn to vent.LOLOLOL.

Tonight

Well tonight has been not so bad I guess. Frank had his diabetic support group meeting tonight. So we had a late supper of hamburgers and fries. I cross stitched in the living room most of the night then about 10:30 Melissa phoned and she talked until a little after 11:00. She didn't have much to say and even she said she didn't know why she wanted to call. Today has been nothing special we didn't even receive any mail today. Unusual but does seem to happen a lot more lately than in the past.
I noticed today that the Butterflies are beautiful in Kansas this year. We have a lot of yellow and black ones, and I see a Monarch from time to time and there is a beautiful one that blue too....my squirrels are thick in my yard and we have a lot of red birds on the picket fence too so today has been colorful and full of nature.
I'm feeling better again so maybe getting back to normal a little everyday.

I should have

Hello everyone, well this morning was unusual I should have just stayed up the rest of the night on my own and read. But instead I got the bright idea to go to bed, first off couldn't sleep in bed, secondly I saw dawn come in (I was not pleased) thirdly had a backache from hell. Then Frank decided to be chatty this morning...I still do not know what I agreed to but I am sure before the day is out I'll have lived to regret it.
I fianlly slept from eight until ten then I forced myself to stay in bed until 10:45 this morning, upon which the backache had spread to a neckache in that 45 minutes, then I got up did my daily routine for dressing and turned the coffee maker on and put a sasuage and biscuit sandwich in the microwave, ate it when it was done made my first cup of coffee and popped an Advil for the aches and pains. I will probably be napping this afternoon....I went to bed in such a good mood and feeling so good but now life had taken another turn which means I will probably be safe to say I am back for the moment on being up nights and sleeping mornings. I tried like hell to avoid this but apparently my body for whatever reason wants me to do this I will say I wrote pretty darned good last night but honestly that is the only advantage staying up all night. You can't talk to your friends they all have sense enough to go to bed, you can't watch anything on t.v. but reruns, you can't take a late night walk not even in this town, if you eat you're gonna be wearing it for ten years so you'd better really want whatever you eat.
Anyway these are my shoulda, coulda, and woulda's for the day!

Tuesday Thoughts

Hello everyone, well I am feeling better than the passed couple of days and thhank goodness for that as I need to get back to writing. It was lucky for me that at least this time I could stitch my way through some of the icky feeling. I read too and I have to say Victoria Laurie is rapidly becoming my favorite author. It's tough to beat Carolyn Hart, Mary Daheim and Emily Brightwell, plus I have become a huge fan of Susan McBride even though to date I have only read one of her books as I can't find them out here.
Katherine Hall Page has another bookcoming out in the next few months the BODY IN THE IVY...gotta have that one but haven't read THE BODY IN THE SNOW DRIFT yet. I thought I had but was wrong it was the Nancy Atherton Book with a title close to that -that I had read.
We had our storms here this evening and then it turned off okay they say there are supposed to be more storms tomorrow and that could be which is why I am posting this at one in the morning just in case it takes me a while to get on the email in later this morning.
How is the book you're reading?
I would love to know who all reads my blog as I know Skye and Terri do which is great....and I think Kathleen has read it a time or two.
Skye is on the road again....this week so she's missed and I'll be glad when she returns. But it's that time of year when everyone travels, hits the road and enjoys the weather and outdoor fun.
My daughter Amy phoned tonight and she is in to using turkey instead of hamburger for her meals so she was making turkey spagahetti tonight.
We had ham and chesse omeettes Frank wanted to fix tacos but I told him NO not unless he wanted a repeat of how sick I was last night. In a few days that will sound good again but not yet.
I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

Monday News

Hello, well Sunday turned out better than it started although it took most of the day for it to put a smile on my face. What finally did it was that Frank put my quilt frame together and I put the fabric in it for the TW Egyptian Sampler and this is my huge piece I will work on in the office. In the office I have a t.v. and vcr plus the computer so when I want a cigerette in here instead I will stitch on the big project for Melissa & Travis. I don't know when it will be done but at least it has a good start, then in the living room while watching more movies today and when I wasn't feeling all that well I kept at my Lizzie Kate Snippet. I didn't finish it but it shouldn't take too long to finish it up this week. Now I finally have two places to stitch and on nice days I can go to the yardswing and read and of course take my daily walks. I will have plenty of material left over to stitch something else on after I am done with the TW as I had Frank pick up plenty yesterday. The jewel tones in the TW are awesome....okay well I need to go get bubbles and read.

Sunday Not so Sunny

Hello, well today we have started out with thunderstorms and rain. I guess it will stay that way until this evening so I probably am not going to be able to get on the net as much as I wanted today.
Frank realized we didn't have enough eggs for breakfast so he is at the store and I thought I'd do a blog this morning to let everyone know that I am not able to be on here much yet today.
Right now I think we are between the storms.
I have been watching BULLDOG DRUMMUND this weekend and stitching. I will probably do more stitching today and I need to get some laundry done.
My sinuses are acting up and I hope they get better.
Last night was good and I slept well again the storms woke me this morning.

Saturday Morning

Hi everyone, well not doing so hot today at all. Colon is a mess and so I will most likely miss a good portion of the day but never fear I will be reading and then later if all works out maybe I can stitch. I am really tired today too and that isn't helping matters so I imagine I will definitely be napping this afternoon.
Frank has gone to install a door.
It's cloudy outside and looks like rain which is kinda predicted for this afternoon.
Good thing I just wanted to cozy up with a book anyway....LOL...
My writing won't happen today not with the way I am feeling.
Okay I think I'll go put in a movie and hope for the best today.

Friday-June

It's June and the birds are singing....my daughter Amanda's birthday was yesterday and she seemed to be in a good spirits which is a good thing since she can and has went through post partum depression in the past.
Today I doubt I leave the house since its 'Mystery Friday' every Friday that I am home I stitch, write and watch one mystery after another. Today though I started with 'INDIANA JONES', my weekend plans are simple, don't smoke, finish my Lizzie Kate Stitching Project, and relax in my yardswing.
I need to do some more cleaning at some point but you this Victoria Laurie Book is just soooo good and I really really want to stitch this small project.....sooooo with the exception of dishes and laundry I am not so sure that cleaning is on the agenda.LOL.
Anyone have any good jokes to tell me I could use some humor right now...what is everyone else's weekend plans?
I Love to hear what others are doing with their weekend.

Almost Friday

Well it's almost Friday and so Thursday kinda flew by for me. I actually had a migraine and by late afternoon figured out I wasn't going to function very well so when Frank got home from work we turned everything off listened to the rain and fell asleep. We woke at 8:30 tonight needless to say this is not going to bode well for getting up early in the morning. I am up it's almost midnight and I don't see me going to bed any time soon but the headache is gone and I never got the chance to do much writing today. I guess I will write tonight and then relax with a good book until I get sleepy.
The rain is gone and tomorrow will be sunshine and high temps.
Hugs, Pamela

Thursday Morning

Well I have not been sleeping well although I have been going to bed early enough to sleep all through the night it just isn't happening so the consequence is that I over sleep in the morning and today was a doozy at 9:50. It's cloudy today so we'll see if the weather snaps out of it or not but I'm pretty sure that no sun in our bedroom was another reason I slept in this morning.I wrote seven pages on the new book yesterday afternoon, last night Frank and I went to the super center even though I really wanted him to go without me as I am pmsing. But while there I bought a couple of summer tops and some unmentionables.
I haven't had my morning walk yet today but today I am having some colon issues all ready due to pms. I put in a movie last night and stitched until bath time.Mostly yesterday evening Melissa called and we talked for a long long time. Travis was at a concert his birthday is June 5th.
