Thursday Throes

Oh God I will be sooo glad when this month is over and done. e had bad weather on Thursday well no big deal we live in Kansas and afterall it is Spring. Most people cannot wait for Spring but if you live in tornado alley you sometimes want to skip it....well Thursday afternoon Mishell came over and we talked and then she went home the next thing I know the weather channel last a red alert with all their bells and whistles that there is a tornado watch/warning but while it was partly for our area the fact that a tornado had been spotted in Thayer and ten miles out which covered Mishell's farm was leaving this mama in a panic........I called all the numbers for her NO ANSWER I was frantic as the winds picked up even worse here and I just knew she was in trouble this lasted all afternoon and I went to the freezer took out ice cream since I knew better than to get in the car and go looking on my own.....I ate ice cream....I waited....ate ice cream ....waited.....FINALLY at 5:00 or a little after she calls seems they had went to the children's school in Galesburg and they were all fine but their storage shed (this is a metal building) was blown away, so was their yardswing and bird bath along with other things but they were all safe.....I swear I need to quit worrying about these kids because they'll be the death of me.
She is also the daughter having surgery at 9:00 in the morning so after I found her safe and sound I decided to head back to the library book sale and bought her twelve more books to read while she is laid up. I also bought me a few but only one cozy however the one cozy is the one I have been looking for -forever it is ONE FOR THE MONEY by Jannet Evanovich.......
So at least that turned out lucky and while there I conversed with my friend Ellynne whom I used to work at the library with and who is now Children's Librarian at our local library and we made plans to walk together this spring. THIS IS A GOOD THING......we are both big women so we won't have run to catch up with the other. This also means at first I will not have to power walk....
Tonight I watched t.v. and chilled but then the ice cream I had went straight through me in a BIG D sorta way so I've been in the bathroom again.....and you thought a writer's life was easy??? Shoot......maybe if I lived on an island without family and cabana boys, endless writing supplies, a body like Sharon Stone and a mind like Oprah and endless supply of cozies and a bird who takes my manuscripts to the mainland, and brings back all the steak and baked potatoes I want or brings me tacos and cream puffs, and I can sip pina coladas or have international flavored coffees, and at night I can dance to the drums of natives and pretend I am Kathleen Turner in JEWEL OF THE NILE.....but with my luck I'd end up on an island the military is using for target practice and get my groove thing shot off....but then no good fantasy is real without a little reality.....
Now to my next friend I want to talk about......Carolyn her name is Carolyn and she is older than me as in 51 and she has been married five times.....see she is creative person she wants all types of weddings she doesn't however want to stay married.LOLOL Well she didn't now I think she would because now she is more stable and she is one of those women who got prettier with age....her figure got better with age and she is a lot more practical than she used to be. But she is also one of the biggest softies I ever saw if a person came to her and needed food she would give them food and the shirt off of her back even if what the told her was a bunch of bull. She would spend her last dime on her friends....and she wouldn't complain one bit about it. On the other hand she is lonely, bored and I am trying to get her to have adventures.....
Okay well enough blogging for one night but I wanted to get on here and blow off some steam....LOLOLOL.
